And while we love our pumpkin spice lattes, there’s something about the classic aroma of spiced chai latte we can’t get enough of. This Spiced Chai Latte Body Scrub is our own spin on the aroma of India’s beloved beverage that we hope is as warm and comforting to you as it is to us. But fair warning, the aroma of this body scrub is so delicious, you’ll likely want to enjoy a freshly made cup of chai while using it.

A chai latte take the flavors associated with masala chai, a common spiced tea drink present in most households throughout India (and now most of the world). Legend has it that the origin of chai dates back more than 5,000 years, when a king in what is now India ordered a healing spiced beverage be created for use in Ayurveda, one of the world's oldest holistic (“whole-body”) healing systems.

The heat from ginger and black pepper was believed to stimulate digestion; the antiseptic properties in cloves were thought to help relieve pain; cardamom was used as a mood elevator; cinnamon supported circulation and respiratory function; and star anise was known to freshen the breath. All we know for sure is that after using our Spiced Chai Latte body scrub your skin will feel soft, refreshed and renewed; and it will smell good, too.
